Doug Osa

Doug Osa is an accomplished artist whose paintings and etchings have been collected since the mid 1980’s. His work has been included in many solo, group and juried exhibitions and has received awards from the American Artists’ Professional League, the Allied Artists of America and from juried exhibitions. His paintings and prints are also included in notable public, private and institutional collections nationwide and have been the subject of articles in Southwest Art Magazine, the Artist’s Magazine, and several books. He has taught drawing and painting at the university level and in workshops and has completed numerous commissioned paintings. He received bachelors degrees in biology and fine art from Kansas State University and an MFA in drawing and painting from the University of Kansas. He also studied figure drawing and painting at the Art Students League in New York City and drawing at the Kansas City Art Institute.
