Linda Blaha-Kemnitzer

Design and Educational Background

My professional background includes teaching at the college-level (University of Kansas), directing non-profit arts programs (Arts at reStart)(National Endowment for the Arts – Missouri Arts Council funded), as well as managing my arts studio. The intertwining of my professional background influences the content and composition of my art work. I am interested in the complexity of structures and their surrounding environments. Two-dimensional maps, perspectives and vignettes are integrated into my drawings to illustrate multi-viewpoints and multi-reactions when viewing a building and landscape. My renderings of historic landmarks, as well as residential homes are illustrated in pencil, pen& ink, watercolor and mixed media.
