After 10 years, B.H. Fairchild will return to Rockhurst University for a reading as the guest of the Midwest Poets Series at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, in Arrupe Hall auditorium.
The winner of both a National Book Critics Circle Award and the California Book Award, Fairchild is a poet of “gritty realities” and is known for his moments of insight in his poetry. His book The Art of the Lathe (1998) is one of the most distinguished poetry books in recent history.
