Christmas in Song

Celebrate the joy of the Christmas season through its beloved songs and carols as we present our 16th annual holiday cabaret, CHRISTMAS IN SONG. This year’s production once again features the Playhouse’s signature blend of sacred and secular Christmas songs, including beloved carols “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”, “The First Noel”, “Joy to the World!”; classical favorites “O Holy Night”, “The Birthday of a King”, “Gesu Bambino”; a spirited gospel arrangement of “Go Tell It on the Mountain”; songs by pop artists Harry Connick, Jr., Amy Grant, and Michael W. Smith; songs from the television classic A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS (“Linus and Lucy,” “Christmastime Is Here”); and the quintessential holiday song, Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas”.

With something for everyone, this intimate cabaret revue is the perfect holiday event for the whole family and has become one of Kansas City’s most cherished Christmas traditions!
