Praised for their “fine performers, ingenious programming and thoughtful planning,” (KC Metropolis) Ignea Strata marries a creative and imaginative approach to performance with meticulous scholarship and devoted attention to little-known masterpieces of past centuries.

In this delightful holiday program, beloved traditional carols are paired with medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque compositions. The concert includes works by Taverner, Palestrina, Monteverdi, Busnois and others including Imogen Holst, L.V. Wood, and the recently re-discovered baroque composer Caterina Assandra.
