The A.J. Young Trio: From Rap to Songwriter

Although he started his musical career as a rapper, he soon picked up an acoustic guitar and became fascinated with crafting songs.

Kansas City musician and songwriter A.J. Young opened for The Fray at Starlight Theater in 2014, placed first in Drake’s Artist on the Verge competition in 2012 and the Sing Like John Mayer contest in 2010. He recently released his first EP, Into the Wild. Guitarist Javon Goodman and bassist Jacob Romer will join Young.
