The American Jazz Museum takes pride in highlighting the tremendous contributions made by women jazz artists in music during the month of March. This performance features the incredible talents of Deborah Brown, Marlene Rosenberg, Pam Watson, and Argarita Palavicini.
Deborah Brown has made a name for herself with appearances in more than 50 countires around the world. She recently performed at the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts alongside Bobby Watson and Hermon Mehari in “A Tribute to Kansas City Jazz: From Basie to Bebop.”
Marlene Rosenberg has emerged as one of the most talented and multi-faceted bass players on the scene today. She has played professionally throughout the United States, Europe, Latin America and Japan.
Pam Watson, raised in Kansas City, Kansas, established a notable reputation in New York City as a freelance accompanist in demand for her ability to play many styles. As a vocalist, Ms. Watson worked with Bobby Watson’s Horizon, James Williams’ Intensive Care Unit, the Bill Saxton Group and Jack Walraths’ “Charles Mingus Project.”
Argarita Palavicini is an active flautist, vocalist, composer, and teacher in the New York and Miami Metropolitan areas. Argarita is currently working on original music for her new album.
