CALVARY UNIVERSITY
The history of Calvary University goes back 85 years. Founded in 1932 Kansas City Bible Institute, and in 1938 Midwest Bible and Missionary Institute was founded. The two schools eventually became Bible colleges, and in 1961 they merged to become Calvary Bible College. In 1987 Citadel Bible College, which was started in 1947 as Ozark Bible Institute, merged with Calvary. A graduate division was added in 1966, and named Calvary Theological Seminary in 1992. In 2016 the name was updated to Calvary University to reflect the broad scope of educational opportunities.
Calvary University offers the following undergraduate degrees: Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Music. Calvary students may choose from numerous areas of study, ranging from Advanced Biblical Studies, Biblical Counseling, and Elementary Education, to Pastoral Ministry, Youth Ministry, Intercultural Studies, Music, and Theatre Arts, to name a few. Graduate Study programs include: Master of Science, Master of Arts, Master of Divinity and Master of Worship Arts.
Calvary’s desire is to cultivate the personal, spiritual, and academic growth of men and women while preparing them for Christian service.
