The mission of the Kansas City Girls Choir is to offer young girls an opportunity to share their musical talent & to enrich each girl to become a strong positive force in their community.

The Kansas City Girls Choir (KCGC) was organized in April 2006 and incorporated as a not-for-profit Missouri organization during this same year. The group is the sister organization of the Kansas City Boys Choir. The visionary behind the KCGC is also Mr. Ah’Lee Robinson. The KCGC consists of approximately 30 plus young women from diverse musical and cultural backgrounds in the age range of 8-18 years old.

The choir was formed to provide an avenue for girls to provide music to the general public in all facets. The choir also serves as a catalyst for girls to learn social skills with emphasis on the “whole girl” with music becoming the by-product. Through music and supportive programs, we are able to teach our young women to become successful and productive members of the community. Additionally, KCGC members give back to the community. Each chorister is required to perform 30 hours of community service each year.

The organization is a volunteer based entity with 15 Board Members representing the community in all areas ranging from education to business. Our staff members are volunteers who provide educational, tutorial, social, community and positive citizenship programs to support our young men and work very closely with the choristers bring a cross cultural of experiences and diversit ... view more »
