Will present Indian classical dance (bharathanatyam) and Vrikshashana a contemporary dance.
Nritya School of Indian dance and Music, and Anjali's dance School will present Bharathanatyam (classical dance) and contemporary dance of India.
Vrikshashana: Where is your back? explores the issue of environmental degradation. Using the tree pose from yoga as the main motif, the dancers explore the tree's relationship to people and to the woodcutter. The dancers hold in their consciousness that the hand that cuts needs to be restored to reverence for the environment.
