Suiting Up: Tailored Menswear in Kansas City, 1900-2017

Presented by Kansas City Museum at The Kansas City Museum at the Historic Garment District (KCM@HGD)

Featuring current custom-made looks by Paolini Garment Company alongside historical garments from the Kansas City Museum collection, this exhibition examines the fashion, fits, fabric, and flair of tailored men’s apparel ranging from the classic to the contemporary, and celebrates the resurgence of the modern-day gentleman and his luxury clothier.

During the exhibition, shop in the “Pop-Up Haberdashery” at the KCM@HGD’s new retail store at 800 Broadway.

This exhibition is organized and presented by the Kansas City Museum in partnership with Paolini Garment Company.

Admission Info

Special Exhibition Admission to the Kansas City Museum at the Historic Garment District (KCM@HGD) is $5 per person and free for children 12 and under as well as Museum Members at the Family Level.

PARKING
On Broadway Blvd., between 8th and 9th Streets, there is street parking as follows:

  • West side of Broadway Blvd., two-hour metered parking 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday;
  • East side of Broadway Blvd., two-hour metered parking 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday with no parking 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday;
  • West and East sides of Broadway Blvd., free street parking after 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.

On Bank St. and Washington St., there is free two-hour street parking 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and free street parking after 6:00 p.m. Monday-Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday.
