New voices receive attention this winter, as fresh dramatic work is displayed at the Barn Players 10th Annual 6x10 Play Festival, one weekend only: December 8th, 9th, & 10th, 2017. This annual gathering showcases six original ten minute plays all written by Kansas City talent. Six local playwrights are given the opportunity to collaborate as their script comes to life on the Barn Players stage. This years outstanding selections include:

• The Little Bit You Can Do by Lewis Morrow. A woman visits her boyfriend in prison with an ultimatum.

• Bittersweet and Strange by Michael Dragen. What really happened after the Beauty and the Beast ended?

• A Man's Musical by Phil Kinen. A fellow meets his girlfriend's father and discovers that Dad has very definite ideas on what makes a "man's musical."

• Cornered by Aaron Scully. Two souls out of rehab and in recovery discover that their lives have taken very different turns.

• Route 84 House Fire by Jessie Salsbury. An official investigates a house fire by interviewing it’s only living survivor.

• Best Friend Love by Emma Carter. Two best friends attempt to figure out dating in the era of sexting.
