Allison Bowman (she/her/hers) is a visual artist who creates abstracted botanical mixed-media environments that connect humans to nature and spreads awareness of how art can be used as a tool for mental health and wellbeing. She moved to the Kansas City area after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in fine art from K-State in 2017. Allison has painted murals in Kansas and Missouri, displayed her artwork in art exhibitions locally and nationally, and participated in community projects in the Kansas City area such as Art In The Loop and the KC Parade of Hearts. She served as a Co-Captain of State Arts Advocacy for the state of Kansas through Americans for the Arts from 2021-2023 and has previous work experience in retail art galleries as well as the Arts Council of Johnson County.
