Barbara Doty

I am a self taught professional artist. Pet portraits and wildlife are what I specialize in. I work in watercolor pencils and watercolor paints. I use a high quality professional 140lb. cold pressed watercolor paper.  My paintings are then transposed onto a sheet of metal. Giving it a clean, fresh, new kind of look.

I have been painting on and off for years however retirement has offered me the opportunity to follow my passion for art. Helping to preserve what we love, our pets and the beautiful wildlife that we share this planet with.

I prefer painting the animal rather then the landscape or background because that is where my heart lies. When they are no longer with us, they will live on in our hearts and my paintings.
