Statement:

These new paintings are bold yet refined, the result of relentless experimentation in process and discovery. A marriage of formal interests and the organic qualities of the medium. They begin with an expressive desire rooted in the aesthetics of design, architecture, nature, and music that’s filtered through the history of abstract painting and pushed into the realm of infinite possibilities, the unknown. A quest for authenticity and perfection balanced with spontaneity and chance. To forge beauty and value from nothing, a metaphor of life lived well. The work is a documentation of my thoughts which are a never ending stream of visual poetics. Creativity itself is the subject and problem solving is the game. Our greatest asset is the possibility of new constructs.
