Nature inspires much of her art. The shapes, colors, and textures of nature provide the bases for much of her art. She calls herself an “experimental artist” as she tries new mediums and has discovered much about herself through the process of creating. Some of this comes from teaching high school art for 20+ years and wanting to introduce new techniques to students.
The body of her recent mixed media work is encaustic, using a wax medium. She also has work is an alternative photography method called cyanotype combined with eco-printing.
