My name is Eman Chalshotori. I play the cello and have done so for the past 23 years. I am currently the principal cellist for the Topeka Symphony and associate principal cellist for the Symphony of Northwest Arkansas. I received my Masters in Cello Performance along with a Performer’s Certificate from the UMKC Conservatory. Since moving to Kansas City in 2012, I have had the pleasure of working with local artists such as poet Jen Harris, singer-songwriters Calvin Arsenia and Clair Adams, the acrobatic ballet Quixotic, the Kansas City Symphony, Kansas City Baroque Consortium, and various other non-profit organizations.

As an artist, I believe classical music to be an enlightening experience. Something that transforms the ether surrounding listeners and allows their imaginations to ignite. Through the works of great masters of the past and the human quality of the cello’s voice, I navigate audiences through the genius of composers past and hold space for all to allow their imaginations to take flight.
