Every piece I have ever made has lived a thousand lives because it is all about perspective held in the eye of the beholder. With a diverse skill set across all mediums, I work to create pieces as unique as the individuals who commission them.  My interest in historical costuming has often lead me to learn new skills and become a stronger artist through problem solving. While I do take many sewing commissions, lately I have been expressing myself through pigments and painting. Nature has always been my biggest inspiration and muse. When I am not in the studio, I’m usually off on all sorts of adventures all over the world.

There has never been a time in my life that I have not been a maker of things. I won several local art competitions in Elementary and Middle School, and by the time I reached High School I was starting to explore the idea of it becoming my profession.

Under the mentorship of Greg Brantman, Lynda Shapiro, and Sally Jones I achieved National recognition and sold to the Corcoran Gallery in Washington D.C.. Dabbling in metalworking, ceramics, fiber arts, and painting, I also worked in the theater department costuming earning the Shooting Star Award and scholarship for costume design.
