Maria Morrissey

My name is Maria Morrissey, I am 19 years old and grew up in Kansas City! I currently am studying for a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I attended high school at Shawnee Mission East in Prarie Village, KS. My focus is more on painting, graphic design, art history, philosophy, ceramics, and illustration. My love for art started when I was little but quickly became my career when I got diagnosed with a heart disease. I had to stop playing all sports and limit my physical activity, but because of this, I learned to use it as a blessing. With my extra free time, I started to fully start making art and ended up loving it even more than sports. I am so excited to see where my love for art takes me and my career in the future!
