From every Inch of me I Love color & movement, those two are the forces behind how I create, like dancing on canvas with brush & paint.

Acrylic paints have been my medium of choice as I love to blend on the canvas with all my multiple types of brushes in my hands; wet/dry brush, line brush, & more. All the blending is like a recorded dance where I have to get in all the movement before the song is over & the paint dries. A new layer is like a new song ready to have all the movement added to it & create a masterpiece of a composed ballet on canvas yet it was mostly a spontaneous dance off.

My subject matter has mostly been of whatever inspired me in the moment with lots of dance being apart of that but recently I have become the Butterfly Painter because they are symbols of everything that I love & want other to love & embrace about themselves: beauty, grace, movement, hope, freedom, uniqueness, inspiring, cultivators, strength, dignity & so much more!

“Butterflies can’t see their wings. They can’t see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.”

Poetry In Motion. “Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can.              People are like that as well.” I heard this quote & thought, I want people to know & believe they truly have wings & they are beautiful, so I started painting wings so when your spirit flutters when seeing it, then this may be your wings you can't see. In this painting it represents that we are all made in His creative & worshipful spirit, where we are in heavenly places above the noise & the stresses of life can't stop us. We're made in His image because we communicate in so many different ways & we want to be known, believed in & pursued in relationship. This piece shows how we all want that in unique ways because God is not just one dimensional, He is multi & so are we. I truly love this painting. I poured my heart out in it because I had been going through a year of drought of inspiration. I had felt that my uniqueness was zapped & I wasn’t coming up with anything that was much my own. This is a new beginning of where my art & heart is going. This is my deep cry of desire for something my own as well as to stretch past the norm, yet knowing it’s just the beginning of many new beginnings. Size - 40x30x1.5 Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Courage From The Cocoon By: Megan Leigh Kasper  ~ Opulent Art & Design       “Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.” I heard this quote & thought, I want people to know & believe they truly have wings & they are beautiful, so I started painting wings so when your spirit flutters when seeing it, then this may be your wings you can't see. In a culture that loves the neutral & the basic, which is fine in it’s own way & needed but so are the vibrant & the colorful & we need the courageous that are willing to let it all be bold & beautiful. I really believe there is a war against color & vibrancy, where it’s looked at as messy & childish but there are those with Child-like faith that want to go let the treasure of color just pop & be the fun in life. No more hiding the colors that you love & being able to live in the treasure chest of sparkle but to let all your colors shine at the right moments & to bring color into what can feel like such a black & white world. We need you Courageous ones that emerge from the cocoon of challenges in Full Living Color! You’re a treasure & a delight to have in this place here on earth. A true representation of Heaven here & now for us to look forward to days on the other side of this life. Original - $1,100 Size - 16'x20' on Gallery Wrapped Canvas

Dripping in Opulence By: Megan Leigh  ~ Opulent Art & Design “Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are, but everyone else can. People are like that as well.” I heard this quote & thought, I want people to know & believe they truly have wings & they are beautiful, so I started painting wings so when your spirit flutters when seeing it, then this may be your wings you can't see. Dripping means overflow, it may not be a lot at the moment but it's just the beginning. A drip here & a drip there & what is opulence you ask? Opulence: abundance, wealth, plenty, affluence, riches, resources & goods; State of being opulent. This represents opulence for more than just the monetary but of the best things in life, family, relationships, health, love, freedom & more. You are who know yourself were meant to be, true identity at it's refined place :) It drips over into others lives & like pure blood cleanses the stream so does your drips of royal blood infill others to make them know their royal identity. This one I painted as a declaration over 2020 & for all of you that are truly royal in heart & core! A Hero A Rose By: Megan Leigh Kasper ~ Opulent Art “Butterflies can’t see their wings, so they can’t see how truly beautiful they are but others can. Humans are like that too.” I heard this quote & thought, I want people to know & believe they truly have wings & they are beautiful, so I started painting them. *Also Check out on YouTube: Butterfly Circus Short Film This is my painting for 2022 & I had lots of thoughts & feelings of painting this piece, yes more than usual which means tons of emotions :) A rose came to mind when I was at my sketch journal so I incorporated it into the doodle, why not have a rose blossoming within the wing itself. As I was painting it it came back to me about how I had done a rose art piece when I was in a color theory class, where the teacher assigned us to do a complementary color piece we’d all have to title: Hero vs. Villain, & I came up with a rose & thorns. Meaning each one of us have it in us to be able to be a hero or a villain, just like a rose has both beauty that protects the new, vulnerable life within itself, dying to have the seeds be planted & grow OR choice to use our thorns to protect ourselves, to prick, hurt & cut others away from anything of ourselves. The thorns themselves don’t produce life or redemption but just cause hurt & pain. So this piece is a continuation of it, a celebration of those who are Heroes that have chosen the beauty over the thorns & have a cocoon of gold they can have apart of their live’s legacy. You are the fragrance giver, the color blooming after the winter season & won’t give up on beauty no matter the circumstances, YOU ARE A HERO!
