Rachel Houtman

I was born and raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At the age of twenty, I moved to Alabama in order to see more of the world and explore. From there I found myself missing the midwest and moved to yet another new area- Kansas City. I studied Graphic Design at the University of Missouri- Kansas City where I obtained a degree in Studio Art. My paintings vary in style. One side is a fun, colorful, sarcastic theme, while the other is more realistic inspired by my own photos. I am a quiet person, but through my paintings, my personality comes out.
