CALL FOR ARTISTS OF ANY AGE--DIGITAL IMAGES OF KANSAS CITY FOR EXHIBITION PROJECT

CALL FOR KANSAS CITY AREA PHOTOGRAPHERS
(For inclusion in temporary exhibition project “This Land is My Land/Your Land)”

The Greenlease Gallery Panacea Project Space will reopen September 2022 to showcase a
temporary exhibition entitled “This Land is My Land/Your Land.” The exhibition will feature
an installation of Cynthia Daignault’s Light Atlas, ArtBridges  (which is comprised of 360, 8 x 10 inch paintings of the landscape) together with photographs of the greater Kansas City landscape taken by Kansas citians of all ages and backgrounds.

We invite anyone with a cell phone camera to submit a color or black-and-white digital photographs of a landscape/cityscape composition that captures your attention or is of visual interest within a 27-mile radius of where you live in greater Kansas City. The image can be a
jpeg or tiff format and must be at least 300 dpi (with a minimum of 1600x 2000 pixels).

The objective of this exhibition is to present an in-depth look at landscapes and in particular our greater Kansas City cityscape from varied perspectives across the metro area. By viewing this installation of photographs one may discover for example neighborhoods familiar
or unfamiliar, obtain new ways of seeing iconic places through someone else’s perspective, or
learn about something that may be overlooked etc. We hope viewers to this exhibition will
be inspired to seek out depicted locations in person to experience them firsthand. In short,
we wish to expose Kansas City to Kansas City.

Images will be collected through May 31, 2022 and will be selected for this juried exhibition
in June 2022. All participants will be notified by June 30, 2022 about exhibition status. Selected entries will be printed 8 x 10 inches and displayed in the exhibition September 2-
December 4, 2022. Artists selected for the exhibition will receive the printed image of his/her
work at the close of the exhibition. Exhibition artists will be invited to the opening reception.
