The Whole Person is seeking artists with disabilities for our 12th Annual Expressions Art Exhibition. This is an opportunity for artists with disabilities to exhibit their work in a professional setting while making connections with the Kansas City arts community. Applications will be accepted until January 17, 2022, at 11:59 pm (CST).
Expressions is a juried art exhibition. If selected, exhibiting artists’ works will remain on display at multiple venues through March 2023. Selected artists will receive an honorarium.
Who can apply? All artists, 18 years old and over, with documented or self-identified disabilities (physical, cognitive, mental health, chronic health conditions, sensory, or other) in the Greater Kansas City area are invited to submit their work for consideration in the 12th Annual Expressions Art Exhibition. Artists working in various mediums (painting, photography, graphics, print, sculpture, dance, music, spoken word, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
How are artists selected? Artists will be selected by a volunteer committee of arts professionals, who will look for artistic merit and thoughtful responses to questions about your work.
