KCAC is hiring a part-time Membership Coordinator.

The Kansas City Artists Coalition has a unique opportunity for an experienced and detail oriented administrative professional. The main objectives of the Membership Coordinator position are to passionately recruit new members and retain current members, educate, and develop the membership program to drive awareness, growth, and sales of KCAC and our mission of supporting artists.

The Membership Coordinator serves as a liaison between our members and the administrative staff. This means that you will process new membership applications, handle complaints and requests from current members, and coordinate events that keep our members happy. You will also develop campaigns to garner new membership. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and growing membership benefits and partnerships with outside partners. The position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills to liaise between the community and the organization.

The ideal candidate has a passion for community and experience in working with the public. An outgoing individual interested in building relationships in the community and preferably previous experience in a nonprofit environment, a history of demonstrating initiative, and the ability to self-coordinate and maintain priorities. They must project a professional organizational image in-person, phone, video and mailed communications.

KCAC is in the Tower East neighborhood of Midtown Kansas City, MO. KCAC is not only a gallery but a community engagement space. We produce and manage more than 22 annual exhibitions, three annual fundraisers, free ongoing professional development opportunities, affordable studio spaces, and a community of over 400+ member artists.
