Bach to the Future - Back to the Baroque

Westwood Ensemble goes Bach to the Future!  The ensemble’s fifth season will take you on a musical journey from the 1600’s through contemporary works for orchestra, with a few surprises along the way.  Our first concert travels Back to the Baroque, and includes works by Bach, Vivaldi and Purcell, as well as a modern arrangement using a technique popular during the Baroque period.  Not familiar with Bach, Vivaldi, Purcell or anything else Baroque?  Not sure you’ll like symphonic music?  No problem!  Our free concerts are shorter than typical symphony concerts, and include brief presentations with background information on the composers, relevant program notes about the pieces performed, and suggestions for listening.  We love symphonic music and want to share it with others who appreciate it – and with those who will appreciate it, but just don’t know it yet!
