Bach to the Future - Voyage to Vienna

Westwood Ensemble goes Bach to the Future! The ensemble’s fifth season takes a musical journey from the 1600’s through contemporary works for orchestra, with a few surprises along the way. Our second concert makes a Voyage to Vienna, the heart of musical creativity during the Classical period, where you will explore works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Franz Joseph Haydn, Ludwig van Beethoven and Gioachino Rossini. Not familiar with Classical music? No problem! Our free concerts are shorter than typical symphony concerts, and include brief presentations with background information on composers, program notes about the pieces performed, and suggestions for listening.  We love symphonic music and want to share it with others who appreciate it – and with those who will appreciate it, but just don’t know it yet!
