The Coterie presents the world premiere of Becoming Martin, a new play about a teenage Martin Luther King, Jr., written by noted local filmmaker Kevin Willmott
This world premiere centers on the mentorship Martin Luther King, Jr., receives when he enters Morehouse College at age 15. Through debate over civil disobedience concepts, Morehouse College President, Dr. Benjamin Mays, sets young MLK on a path towards fighting for civil rights.

Tickets to Becoming Martin at The Coterie are $12.00 for Youth under 18, Students, and Seniors 60 and older, and $15.00 for Adults. Groups rates are available, ranging from $5.00-$8.00 per person, for 20 or more with an advance reservation. Call the box office for details and ticket availability.

As a resident of Crown Center, individual and family attendees of The Coterie are invited to park inside Crown Center’s secure retail parking garage. The entrance to the retail lot is located on Grand St. immediately south of Crown Center. The Coterie validates for free, all-day parking.
