Kicking off a multi-part series of classic films shot in Kansas City, experience the epic film honoring director Robert Altman’s hometown!
This tour de force exploration of crime and jazz in the Prohibition Era is on the Top 100 Underrated Movies list and is a rare gem to see, especially on the glorious, old world setting of the Medallion Theater.
The film features many familiar locations in the area, as well as some of the most sizzling, extended jam sessions delivered in Altman’s signature style.
Cast and crew who worked on the production will be on hand to share stories and a special recognition Award will be given to a notable figure in KC filmmaking during this inspired period of creativity.
“Kansas City” stars stars Jennifer Jason Leigh, Harry Belafonte, and a who’s who of notable actors and musicians.
