ContraBanned 2017: An Uncensored Celebration of the Library presented by Kansas City Public Library at Kansas City Public Library - Central Library, Kansas City MO

Join the Friends of the Kansas City Public Library for an empowering cocktail party and fundraiser during Banned Books Week

There was an alarming 17 percent increase in book censorship complaints in 2016. At a time of deep political division, ContraBanned highlights the importance of the freedom to access knowledge – unrestricted – and gives you the platform to Protect Your Shelves.

On September 30, help the Friends of the Library shout from the Central Library rooftop that the Library’s free resources & programs empower people of all ages in KC to become lifelong learners and engaged citizens.
