Dancing Word Performance: Dance and Poetry Combined

Poets read from their work while dancers interpret them in dance, expanding both art forms in a new way. On October 2 and 3, the first live Westport Center for the Arts Dancing Word performances will be offered.  The program will celebrate Kansas City poets such as Taylor Brown and Glenn Stewart reading their own works along with innovative professional dancers and dance choreographer Suzanne Ryanstrati. The works of published poets including Jasmine Mans and Allen Ginsberg will be performed by a professional actress. Both performances are at Artstech Performance Space, 1522 Holmes St., Kansas City, MO. and are free (donations accepted). Subject to social distancing and the Kansas City mask mandate.
