A celebration of black art in honor of Black History Month at the Black Archives of Mid-America.

“Shared cultural experiences, uniquely different depictions”

In Depictions: People, Places and Things, common everyday experiences and
interactions are uniquely captured in paintings, photography, mixed media and
textiles. The viewer will not only see a celebration of black history but also a
celebration of the non monolithic artistic expressions by black artists.
