Dye X Bath with Rachel Ferber

THE DYE BATH facilitates a space for experimental dying techniques. We invite you to intentionally blemish garments and other textiles by staining them with common household materials including grass clippings, cooking oil, turmeric, and purple sauerkraut juice. Ideas and suggestions for techniques will be shared, but participants are considered both student and teacher in this open-ended, free-form event. Rather than measuring spoons and scales, you can expect spray bottles, turkey basters, and a plastic wading pool. Please bring and/or wear textile items to stain during the workshop. We also encourage you to bring any additional dye materials that you would like to test.
