The G. Kenneth and Ann Baum Concert Comments are lively and informative pre-show talks held one hour before each Kansas City Symphony Classical Series performance in Helzberg Hall at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

They are hosted by Music Director Michael Stern, David T. Beals III Assistant Conductor Jason Seber, or Executive Director Frank Byrne. They often feature the guest artist performing that particular concert.

These events provide insight that may help you better understand and appreciate the music you are about to hear, as well as learn about the journey of the Symphony and artists working to make the music come together. To attend a Concert Comments Event you must purchase a ticket for that evening’s performance.

An experience at the Kauffman Center begins the moment you arrive, with a convenient, well-lit parking garage, owned and operated by the City of Kansas City, Missouri. The garage is directly attached to the Kauffman Center just south of the building with multiple access points to surrounding streets.

Garage parking passes and valet parking passes are available in advance for most events. Please note that if the garage is full patrons without a pre-paid pass will not be able to park in the Arts District Garage.
