Exhibit Tells Human Trafficking, Empowerment, Other Stories in Glass Art and Poetry

Glass art works and poetry by local artist Hasna Sal telling the stories of survivors and empowerment will be on display at the Westport Presbyterian Church from Nov. 12 through the end of December, with a special opening on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m.

The exhibition include four glass panels permanently on display in Kansas City’s Lykins Park, the first public art memorial in the nation memorializing the victims of human trafficking. One of those survivors will join Sal at the opening and speak about how invisible she once felt in that Kansas City park and how her life has changed since. Sal will also display other glass works and will also launch her book of poetry, Poems in Glass, at the opening event.
