Figure Drawing 6 Week Class

This class meets every Tuesday evening, 1/14 – 2/18, 6-8:30pm
Lacey Lewis will teach a 6 week class where she shares her approach to drawing the nude figure from life in charcoal. Students will learn many ways to dynamically view and analyze the figure to achieve accurate proportions without overly relying on height and width measurements. Basic concepts such as gesture and light logic will be covered, as well as more advance ideas relating to anatomy, structure of the human form, and the poetry of energy that flows throughout the body. This class is ideal for both beginning and experienced artists alike!
Photos will be utilized on occasion with live models as the primary reference. Poses increase in length over the course of the 6 week class, culminating in long poses during the final classes. All materials are included.
