Finest Folk First Fridays featuring Rural Grit Holiday Jubilee

Folk Alliance International presents Finest Folk First Fridays

December’s Finest Folk event will be an evening showcase featuring local musicians performing holiday favorites both popular and obscure. Betse & Clarke will host the event and perform a featured set to kick the night off. Kansas City folk singer-songwriter Danny Cox will perform the second featured set. The evening will follow the Rural Grit Happy Hour format including pre-betweens, featured artists, in-betweens, and ending in a “Jubilee” singalong with all musicians joining in on stage. Bring your instrument, plan a holiday song, and come right at 6 pm to sign up to play a song.

The Rural Grit Happy hour is going on 25 year celebrating American Roots, Old-Time, Old Country, Honky Tonk Blues, Juke Joint, and original music from traditional sounds to experiments beyond the accepted boundaries.

Featured set with Betse & Clarke: 6:30pm
In-betweens: 6:50pm – 7:30pm
Second featured set with Danny Cox: 7:30pm
Post-tweens: 7:30-8:20pm
All-performer jubilee: 8:20pm
