Gold rush daguerreotypes provide an extraordinary glimpse into the transformation of the American West. This exhibition provides a critical look at this historic event through the lens of the daguerreotype camera. In San Francisco and Sacramento, urban panoramas, street views, and studio portraits of miners were made.

Parking is $14 per car | Free for members A free lot at the corner of 45th Street and Rockhill Road is available first come, first served. Public parking may not be available there during special events.
