In Concert: Green Guitar Folk presents Kelly Hunt, Kasey Rausch & Mikal Shapiro

Kelly Hunt is a singer-songwriter of Americana/Roots music, raised in Memphis and now based out of KC. Her voice is accompanied by her 1920s tenor banjo “Ira” and guitar “Vernon.” Kelly’s songs meld folk, classic country, and old-time music for a sound that is both timeless and fresh. Her songwriting is approachably poetic, full of feeling and alive with storytelling. Her new debut album Even the Sparrow is getting rave reviews. Multi-instrumentalist Stas Heaney joins Kelly on stage.

Kasey Rausch & Mikal Shipiro opens the show. Kasey Rausch is a 5^th generation singer-songwriter, and the producer/host of roots music radio show River Trade Radio on KKFI 90.1FM. With family and musical roots in Parkville, KC, the Missouri Ozarks, Winfield, Kansas, and deep Southeast Texas, Kasey brings a bit of the spirit of a modern Patsy Cline. Mikal Shapiro has been touring since 1999. Her creative & emotional instincts lead you to places you might not have known about, but probably need to go.
