MALLIN GALLERY – JAMIE GRAY AND SARA SELLITTO Cosmic Botany | Sacred Kingdoms is a joint exhibition by painter Jamie Gray and ceramicist Sara Sellitto. Both artists are inspired by the beauty they see in the cycle of decay and creation in the natural world. To observe these ecosystems is to see into the small universes of life. The curation of mixed media paintings and ceramic sculptures for this exhibition offers an imaginative dialogue on these themes. Jamie creates organic patterns evocative of geological and astral phenomena and frames them within abstracted natural objects in order to draw a visual parallel between micro and macro perspectives. Sara sees the different stages of decomposition as an extension of our own life cycle, and explores and documents this process in order to reveal an elegant and beautiful destruction.

CHARNO GALLERY – BRENT WESTPHAL aims to create moments and atmospheres of beauty and intrigue, through the use of texture and complexity. He draws inspiration from all scales of the natural word; from the molecular to the cosmic. He aims to create artwork that can be explored, examined, and discovered anew.
