Live Concert Features Schubert Works

The noontime concerts are free (donations accepted). Tenor Aaron Barksdale-Burns has appeared in various operas, concerts and recitals both at home and abroad, including a performance of John Dowland’s Ayres with Joe Carignan-Garcia at Westport Center for the Arts in 2019. Aaron has an affinity for artsong and is excited to perform Die Schöne Müllerin in its entirety. He’s a linguist and educator in Kansas City. John Mueter is a vocal coach/collaborative pianist, retired after 25 years of teaching at the UMKC Conservatory followed by five years at the KU School of Music. He spends his time writing short fiction and poetry, with nearly 30 stories and poems published, and dreams of travelling again.
