Making Movies

An American rock band based in Kansas City, Making Movies’ music is influenced by rock, cumbia, psychedelia, American roots, son Cuban, and spoken word. Although their first EP, 2009’s Aguardiente, was self-produced, its third and most recent release, I Am Another You (2017), was produced by the famed Steve Berlin of Los Lobos. A blend of pulsing Afro-Latino rhythms, psychedelic jams and rock ‘n’ roll swagger fuel Making Movies’ powerful live performances, which are full of theater and cathartic climaxes.
