Mission Project Art Show

The Art Show will feature works for sale from a number of local artists, as well as showcasing those created by artists with developmental or cognitive disabilities who participate in the Mission Project programs. This eclectic show will include paintings, photography, ceramics and other media, and the artists are generously donating all or a portion of their sales to the MP Arts Enrichment Program.

A Preview Night will be held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-8pm.  Multiple raffle items available for purchase via missionproject2.org/raffle, including a 50-bottle Wine Cellar for $20 per ticket, and you don’t need to be present to win.

The MP Arts Enrichment Program enables participants to express themselves in a variety of arts media and to exhibit their work in the greater Kansas City arts community.  The annual art shows serve as catalysts to build appreciation for this diverse population within the greater Kansas City community, through exposure to their insights, personalities, and points of view as displayed in their artwork.

The Mission Project and Mission Project 2 are 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations created to help adults with developmental or cognitive disabilities to live independently and safely in their own apartments, integrated into the general community with individualized support.  We work towards a comprehensive vision:  To establish and maintain support structures for participants, to enable them to live independently with opportunities to engage in meaningful work, social interaction with peers, educational opportunities, physical fitness activities and recreation.
