OCO Concert: "Musicians' Showcase"

The Olathe Community Orchestra spotlights the talents of several of its own members. Featured members include Ben Katzara, viola — Suite Hebraique by Ernest Bloch; Emily Smith, flute, and Markus Merrill, oboe — Concerto for Flute & Oboe by Antonio Salieri; Will Biggs, trombone — Concertino for Trombone by Ferdinand David; and the OCO horn section — Konzertstuck for Four Horns by Robert Schumann. Rounding out the program: Original pieces by OCO members Gavin Lendt and Reni Karanevich, and Festive Overture by Dmitri Shostakovich. Admission is free; reception at intermission.
