In a career that spanned six decades, Harold Arlen wrote over 400 songs and is, arguably, one of the Founding Fathers of the Great American Songbook. A master tunesmith, he wrote for The Cotton Club, Broadway, and Hollywood, and had a unique talent for infusing the blues into his songs. Limited parking spots on the surrounding streets are available for free after 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day Saturday and Sunday. There is a large covered parking lot adjacent to the theatre for a fee; theatre patrons receive discounted parking ($5) by paying at the box office or bar before the show or at intermission.
