The Kansas City Poetry Jam is a one day festival for all those on the poetic spectrum: readers, writers, teachers, students, performers, editors, and publishers of poetry. If you love poetry join us for our first annual event with workshops from six teaching artists, a BYO sack lunch networking hour, and a panel discussion on publishing and new technologies. Join us for a day jammed with poetry! Area poets will lead inspiring workshops, a panel of poets will share their technological experience and expertise and attendees can bring their published work to sell.

After the jam shuts down at 5, keep the poetry flowing at open mics scattered around town organized and hosted by local poets.
