"Portrait of a Woman’s Tears"

For the second production of the 2017-18 season, Rockhurst University Theater will bring Kansas City’s playwright Katherine Gwynn’s Portrait of a Woman’s Tears to life on stage for the first time.

This world premier comedy tells the story of Elaine, a mother who has lost her ability to cry; Nate, her husband who has moved into their backyard doghouse; Quinn, their critical son; and Thea, the nanny. It explores gender, emotional labor, motherhood and what it means to cry for someone.

ADMISSION INFO

Tickets, sold at the door, are $10, $5 for students and senior citizens. Parking is free in campus lots, which can be accessed through the campus entrance at 54th Street and Troost Avenue or in the lot off 52nd Street and Troost Avenue.
