Qristina & Quinn Bachand: Celtic Music New and Old

Two-time winners of an Irish Music Award – 2010 Top Traditional Group and 2011 Top Duo — siblings Qristina & Quinn Bachand describe their music as “a hint of grunge, a dash of noir, a healthy sprinkling of Celtic and a dollop of rootsy goodness.” Older sister Qristina plays fiddle and sings; while brother Quinn plays acoustic guitar, Irish tenor banjo, clawhammer banjo, bodhran, fiddle, electric guitar and sings. The Bachands, from Victoria, British Columbia, have played numerous times at the Kansas City Irish Festival and are scheduled to appear again this year.
