Te Deum - Truer Words (Village Presbyterian)

For centuries, people of faith looked to fill their spirits not only with liturgical music and texts, but also non-liturgical or devotional music and poetry. Truer Words explores the works of great poets, thinkers, and faith leaders whose words offer comfort, grace, inspiration, understanding, and joy. The great poets include John Donne, King David, Ghandi, Christopher Smart, Michael Dennis Brown, and Mother Teresa; and music by Britten, Burleigh, Parry, Paulus, Bruckner, Julia Wolfe, and a world premiere by Te Deum’s new Composer-in-Residence, Anthony J. Maglione.
