The Future is Corndogs

Come out to Plug Projects July 20th for The Future is Corndogs, a solo exhibition by Imagine That! artist John Buice.

Johnny B. is one of our artists who has flourished before our eyes. He is a story-teller at heart. Shortly after starting at the studio, John’s work began to encompass personal ideas and opinions, touching on his feelings about religion, geography, and politics. He discovered a love for sewing and collage work over the years and has been building a body of work for a solo exhibition. His work is highly influenced by his personal experience of historical events and pop culture high points from the 60’s through the 80’s, and humor of all kinds. Working primarily through collage or map-making, he uses these references to make poignant and often hilarious statements about the world in which we exist.

There will be hotdogs and Diet Coke available (his favorite foods), he will be exhibiting several collage and fiber works, and there will be a special premier of his short movie Miami Buice!
