CANCELED - Workshop: An Intuitive Night

It’s time for a special evening of metal pressed artmaking, gallery games, tarot card readings with Laura Pensar of Moth & Candle, and a signature cocktail created by Café Sebastienne—all inspired by intuitive perception and ancient imagery informing Summer Wheat’s work in the exhibition, Blood, Sweat, and Tears. Laura Pensar is a Kansas City-based Tarot card reader and designer. She received her master’s degree in printmaking from UMKC and has since turned her artistic focus to designing playing cards and Tarot decks. An intuitive reader, she has been studying Tarot and working with the cards since she was twelve years old. Her readings help illuminate the available pathways before you and empower you to make the choices you need to make. Pensar’s art combines ritual with new experiences to support self-awareness and growth. Her days are spent drawing, studying the history and art of Tarot and cartomancy, taking photos, traveling, and practicing yoga. She continues to make Kansas City home base, with her partner and two children in a house by the creek where the sidewalk ends.
